Welcome back/Happy New Year!!

January 22nd marks the end of the quarter. All book reports are due at this time, no late ones excepted!! Five pages, cover page, three pages of text ( no 2 and 1/4 or 1/2), and a bibliography page. The book should be of a nature that one can extrapolate a worldview from the reading and identify and then compare with what we've read so far. Most worldviews will be able to be covered at this point. I prefer a non Christian text at this point. Something that can show a different perspective or claim by an author than a CS Lewis for example. Run the reading choices by me if you haven't already. We will go over fallacies again in class. Red Hearing, appeal to pity, etc. when we get back on Jan 13th

Homework for Thursday Dec 4

Checking the internet, find as many sites as you can than infer, describe themselves, acknowledge, that they are of socialistic/communistic worldview. Site, give their bylaws and/or ideology, etc. that would clarify that what they are is in fact such worldview. there are many so happy hunting!! Bring the research in on copied paper and be ready to discuss in class.

In the Student Manual, page 6  There are five questions concerning the video on "Introduction to Worldview"  Answer only three of them #1, 3 & 4  Essay type answers. Make sure the answer can fully reflect what the question was asking.

Homework for Tuesday March 18

We just finished the "Marks of the Cults" dvd now research and find at least three groups that can or are referred to as cults, religious cults, etc. I want to know the who, what, when, where and why of the groups beliefs. Be aware that on some left leaning magazines you will fine Christianity as a religious cult as well. Hunt thoroughly and find out about why and what makes these groups "cults".
At least a full page should be enough for information and explanation.

Email me the points of interest and worldview from the movie. Be specific as to why  you believe something was a specific worldview and/or what you night think the director and writer were trying to convey.

The Ken Ham and Bill Nye debate. Hope you have gone over most of it and can give a report on the strengths and weaknesses of each presenter. I specifically want a "better" way to argue a point of view in the subject matter that the two men were discussing. Explain the dialogue and then giver your response that might suggest a better and/or stronger way to counter a point in the debate.
Type up and be thorough in your response.

Out of Student workbook. Answer out of Unit One, questions from Theology 1.5 (there are five questions); then Unit Two Philosophy 2.5, answer the five questions. Unit Three and five questions, 3.5 and repeat through units four and five answering 4.5 and 5.5 This is due Tuesday the 14th
