Homework for Tuesday March 27th

Workbook pages 225-232  This section deals with the abortion debate. Read it and answer all five questions at the end of the section. BE THOROUGH in response. I expect a minimum of six lines per paragraph to answer the question with the 3rd question even more. Answer as if you are debating the response in question. whether for or against depending on the question and how it asks you to respond.

Homework for Thursday 3/8

Sorry for the delay. Dealing with a sporadic internet/IT issue. So here goes. Take one of the disciplines in the test and find one that interests you the most. Or one that you find is most understandable. Theology, Psychology, Science, etc. whatever it may be. Jot down a couple of key points that help you in creating a defense on this discipline in the Christian framework of defending. Use a 3x5 card for example to create a couple of responses to a differing worldview in regards to this discipline. Look back on your notes from the questions from the workbook to get an idea of possible questions that an opposition might ask of you in defending Christianity and this discipline. We will take up an argumentation from the other world view  point and create a greater defense. Good luck

Page 38; Theology 1.5, answer 21-25 (think/reflect on question 25 and answer thoroughly)

Sorry for the delay /Tuesday homework 2-14-02

The two points of research are:
     1. Find an article or articles that give information on a mercy/honor killing(s) in the US within the last 3 years. This article should give reference to a family member doing so because of a religious conviction
that would bring "shame" of some kind to the family. Within that report find the who, what, when, where, and why of the killing. Looking primarily for an Islamic/Muslim context to the report.

     2. Find reports worldwide on incidents of acts of aggression, war, villages being burned, etc. in which a radical group of extremists have enacted such engagements with violence. Look specifically for names such as Liberation group, Taliban, Hamas, Hezbullah, etc. Find out and document how many for the last three years.

With all of these track down the origin of group(s) and find its ideology. Worldview.

Workbook and the rest the questions of Islam is to be answered.
5.2 - 10.2  pgs 139. 6-10; pg. 161. 6-10; pg. 193. 6-10; pg. 217. 6-10; pg. 243. 6-10; pg. 279. 6-10
These are all essay questions. Be sure to answer so as to be able to know what the question waas from the answer or put the question first and then answer it in essay form.

Time to start to loo0ki at another book for the third quarter. I want this one to be a clear book on either apologetics or a book with clear worldview in which one can find a worldview from the author.

Homework for Tuesday, Jan. 31

We are starting Islam. In the workbook; pg. 37, answer questions 6-10 in essay form.
 Page 61, answer questions 6-10 in essay form. Page 89, answer questions 6-10 in essay form. Page 119, answer questions 6-10 in essay form.

Some of you still need to engage in a conversation/debate in reference to ideology and then give a synopsis of how the discussion went. This was in regards to helping you devise a strategy of progressive and logical interaction in a particular subject or discipline.

Homework for Tuesday. January 17th

Answer all questions on page 109 of workbook. "Responding to Relativism". This is from the dvd.
Ten questions in all and answer them is essay format.

Tuesday you will be given a take home test on Post Modernism. Study your discipline questions, the test will be taken from those fifty questions you answered.

Engage in a postmodern topic and discuss(argue) with a friend who doesn't quite believe or a fellow Christian who may not be able to defend as well as you and engage them using a logic format. Think out, plan out your responses. You will engage the topic with me on Thursday in an argumentative way. Self refuting, circular reasoning, etc.

Book reports are due at the end of the month. Jan. 26th

Postmodernism/For Thursday 1-12-12

This is an exercise in reviewing past info. Taking a Postmodern approach to moral relativism and combing it with legal positivism. Explain to me the reader in detail how certain aspects of accepted law have come about which we know is not moral. THINK This is an essay question and requires some review and clear response on answering.
